MACHINIST

Frasca International, Inc. is looking for a skilled manual machinist to run a mill and lathe. Candidate must have strong mechanical skills, good math skills, ability to read blueprints, use measuring instruments, and good problem solving skills. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. References required. Position is FT with benefits, in a clean, comfortable working environment. Position is daytime hours.

ELECTRONIC BENCH TECH

Must have a two-year certificate in electronics; (or military equivalent)and 5+ years experience.  Must have current troubleshooting and assembly experience in analog and digital electronic assemblies.  Must be able to  inspect, test, repair, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies to component level from schematics. Must maintain test documentation .  Familiarity with avionics a plus

AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER

Frasca is adding an Aeronautical Engineer to its team. Candidate must have a BS or MS in Aeronautical Engineering, with a background in applied aerodynamics, aircraft systems analysis, stability and control, or flight test. Experience with C/C++ and/or Object-Oriented Design are a plus. Positions involve aero development and support in a range of topics, including: aircraft systems analysis and mathematical modeling, flight simulator performance analysis and tuning, flight test and data reduction, and FAA certification. Position includes opportunities for world-wide travel.

ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN

Frasca has an opportunity for an Electronic Technician in our Final Assembly group.  Candidate must have a two-year certificate in electronics; (or military equivalent) and current troubleshooting and assembly experience in analog and digital electronic assemblies. Must also have skills in reading schematics and assembly drawings, testing, calibration, soldering, troubleshooting to the component level, and repair.

 

 


 

LEAD MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Frasca International, Inc. has an opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Technician to join our company in the manufacturing of flight simulators.   U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.  Must be able to:  build, modify or repair all FSTD mechanical systems and sub-systems; troubleshoot, repair and modify a wide variety of simulations systems including hydraulic and electric control loading using appropriate test equipment, diagnostics tools, and technical data; coordinate with engineering departments to insure proper installations and operation of flight simulation systems; setup and calibrate flight controls and motion systems for various aircraft;  use and interpret schematics, electrical and mechanical drawings; must have demonstrated knowledge of computer systems required to perform tasks; must provide mechanical leadership through use of appropriate communication skills.Preferred background includes A&P certification or equivalent experience and training through military service.  A minimum of 7-10 years experience in building/maintaining simulator equipment may be considered in lieu of education.  Knowledge of aircraft restoration helpful.   Some travel required.  Position is based in Urbana, IL, and is full time.
