Aeronautical Engineer

Position involves flight model development for fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight simulators. Activities include flight dynamics and performance modeling; engine modeling; fuel controller modeling; autopilot systems modeling; control loading modeling; vibration and motion system modeling; flight test and data reduction; subjective model analysis; tuning with pilots; and FAA/JAA certification. Requires a BS or MS in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering with knowledge of applied aerodynamics, as well as stability and control analysis.  Experience with Flight Test/Wind Tunnel Testing, C/C++, C#, and/or Object-Oriented Design is a plus. Pilot training or certification, R/C modeling, or desktop simulation experience, is encouraged. Position includes opportunities for worldwide travel. 

Mechanical Designer

Frasca International, Inc. is adding a mechanical designer to its engineering team.  This new opportunity involves design of primary and secondary cockpit controls, cockpit instrumentation, control panels and more for flight simulators.  Conceptual and detail modeling as well as the creation of fabrication, assembly and installation drawings and BOM for new products and updates.  Must be able to troubleshoot and provide assembly and installation support with possible travel.Candidate must have BS in ME or minimum of 5 years equivalent mechanical design experience. Use of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is required.  Knowledge of shop practices including machining, welding and familiarity with fiberglass fabrication techniques desired. Proficiency with assemblies of 20 or more parts, reverse engineering, and 3D surfacing techniques a plus.  Position is full time with benefits. 

PC Technician 

Frasca is looking for a PC Technician to join our electronics group.  This hourly position will require an individual to build, test, troubleshoot and repair pc hardware and software components used in our flight simulators.  Candidate must have familiarity with tools such as Sysprep and MDT.  A+ certification is needed for this position.  MCITP and Windows Deployment Training preferred.  This position requires  top-notch customer service and communication skills in dealing with both internal and external customers. Hours are M-F 8:00-4:30.

 


 

Software Engineer (systems)

Frasca is looking for a software engineer with a BS in Computer Science or related field to join our systems software department. Candidates must have current C++ and OO design skills. Duties include analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support of flight simulation software on a Windows XP platform. Specific tasks include object-oriented modeling of aircraft systems and avionics, developing hardware/software interfaces, implementing interfaces to software subsystems, as well as diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting customer discrepancies with current and older flight simulation software. Candidates must be able to take technical direction and produce software that meets requirements and schedules, as well as work as part of a team and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Private pilot license and C# programming experience a plus. 

Quality Control Systems Engineer

The person in this position will assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining a quality assurance program that extends into ISO 9000 qualifications.  Position will establish and maintain process instructions for complex and special operations having a direct impact on quality.  These include machining, painting, plating, soldering, welding, crimping, bonding, etc.  Candidate must have experience with process creation, continual improvement, and quality management, including ISO 9000.  Individual must have BS in a related field and 4+ years of experience.
