Welcome to Frasca International! We're located in Urbana, Illinois, 130 miles South of Chicago and home to the University of Illinois. Frasca employs approximately 200 people in Engineering, Accounting, Marketing, Administration, Customer Service, IS and Manufacturing.

Field Service Engineer

Applicants should have an associate's degree or higher with more than a year of experience in electronics, basic computer hardware and software, and mechanical / hands-on work. Travel is required for this position. Aviation experience a plus.

  • Travel to customer site for project installation, upgrade, or maintenance.
  • Provide customers with troubleshooting assistance via telephone or email.
  • Assist customers with orders.
  • Complete accurate detailed trip and expense reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer files in database.
  • Ensure quality verification and testing on products.

Background using the following tools are a must:

  • Electronic test equipment
  • Multimeter
  • Hand tools
  • Forklift
Software Engineer

Team-oriented candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar engineering field with one or more years of experience preferred.

Software Engineers at Frasca perform the following essential functions:

  • Create software to model systems / components of aircraft.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Understand computer hardware and interfaces.
  • Analyze, design, code, test and debug software applications and development tools.
  • Strong background in Software Development using C++/C#/WPF.
  • Responsible for procedures, forms, and other documentation necessary for installation and maintenance of programs.
  • Manage several tasks at once.

Project Manager

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with six - 10 years of experience

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to establish and maintain a positive working relationships with project team members and customers

  • Good technical,  analytical and negotiation skills to resolve issues throughout the project life cycle and act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members

Project Managers at Frasca perform the following essential functions:

  • Responsible for all phases of a project including initiation, planning, execution, control and closeout.

  • Monitor financial aspects of a project and work closely with the Accounting department to provide necessary feedback.

  • Collaborate with department managers to develop a budget and schedule for the labor, materials and services required.

  • Manage requirements and flow down project requirements to departments.

  • Track and report project progress and expectations to management including analyses of budget and any technical, schedule or financial risks.

  • Provide management a monthly project report including current project status and estimates to complete.

 

Senior Software Engineer

Team-oriented candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar engineering field with four or more years of experience preferred.

Senior Software Engineers at Frasca perform the following essential functions:

  • Create software to model systems / components of aircraft.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Understand computer hardware and interfaces.
  • Analyze, design, code, test and debug software applications and development tools.
  • Mentor and assist other software engineers.
  • Analyze and develop software requirements and time estimates.
  • Research aircraft systems behavior.
  • Strong background in Software Development using C++/C#/WPF.
  • Responsible for procedures, forms, and other documentation necessary for installation and maintenance of programs.
  • Manage several tasks at once.
  • Communicate with customers and pilots to support software aspects of QA, factory acceptance, and product qualification processes.
