When you need reliable simulation for general aviation training, turn to the company known worldwide as the comprehensive source for flight simulation- Frasca International.

Frasca builds a complete range of flight training devices for general aviation including standard products and custom devices.

Our standard products include the TruFlite line and our newest device, the Mentor. Frasca's standard products are designed to simulate general aviation aircraft, both single and twin engine. They offer high fidelity simulation with flexible upgradeable architecture, many options, modular design, quick delivery, and unmatched reliability. Frasca's Graphical Instructor Station (GISt) is standard on these devices.

Custom general aviation devices are built to customer specifications. Frasca has built hundreds of custom devices for general aviation aircraft, including the Cessna 172, Diamond DA-40 and DA-42, Cirrus, Piper Seminole, Warrior, Archer and many others.

Hundreds of universities and flight schools worldwide use Frasca general aviation devices in their flight training programs. Frasca simulators and flight training devices utilize the latest technology to provide reliable and realistic simulation of the aircraft.

  • EFIS - both simulated and stimulated EFIS systems are available. Simulated systems utilize PC technology and commercial displays. Stimulated EFIS systems use actual aircraft hardware driven by Frasca's computer and interface systems.
  • Frasca Debriefing Station (FDS): Used with Frasca FTDs to provide post-flight debriefing.
  • Flight Test: Frasca’s flight test team has developed flight test plans, instrumentation and procedures for flight testing all types of aircraft. Recent programs include both fixed wing and helicopters. Instrumentation used in the flight tests include Alpha/Beta boom, laser altimeter, differential GPS, AHRS, cockpit control position sensors, control surface sensors, force measurement transducers etc. In addition to installing sensors Frasca will also record data from existing aircraft data busses. A typical flight test plan can include over 1000 test runs.
  • Garmin G1000 and Avidyne Entegra is available on Frasca's New Mentor and other Frasca devices.
  • Frasca's Modular Interface System places much of the interface in the cockpit instead of in centralized cabinets. This significantly reduces the number of connectors, wire harness size, and chassis size resulting in few assembly errors, shortened integration times and higher reliability.

  • Digital Sound Simulation enhances the reality of Frasca's devices, simulating aircraft sounds and pilot communications. Sounds can be gen-erated by synthesis or digital playback.

  • Electric Control Loading (ECL) is an advanced design that accurately simulates the forces acting on the aircraft control surfaces in both static and dynamic conditions providing realistic levels of resistance and inertia to the control stick and rudder pedals during taxiing, take-off, landing ground roll and the entire range of the aircraft flight envelope.
  • GISt, Frasca's Graphical Instructor Station is an easy to use, powerful instructors tool that provides the instructor with complete control of the simulation environment. It also allows the instructor to monitor the simulator and pilot's performance through graphical mapping programs. Lesson plans automatically control the simulator by triggering events based on conditions such as time, altitude etc.

  • Motion Systems - 3 and 6 axis motions systems provides realistic motion cues on Frasca's Full Flight Simulators.

  • TruVision Global visual system provides realistic out the window scenes that can be customized for specific airports and geography. Visual system are available in single or multiple channel configurations with CRT, projection or collimated display systems.

  • Computers - Frasca simulators utilize PC technology ensuring high reliability and availability of spares. Several PCs, each performing separate tasks are integrated together providing superior processing power and speed.

  • Cockpits - Frasca simulators use cockpits that duplicate the aircraft. These cockpits can be scratch built utilizing aircraft parts and data or can be based on remanufactured salvaged aircraft cockpits and parts.

  • Qualification - Frasca Flight Training Devices and Full Flight Simulators can be qualified or certified at all levels. Appropriate documentation and auto test systems are available.
