TH-67 Helicopter Simulators
The Commercial off-the-shelf Solution for Military Helicopter Pilot Training

Based on the generic Frasca Model 342 helicopter simulator, the Frasca TH-67 product line satisfies a broad spectrum of pilot-training requirements with configurations ranging from a simple Cockpit Procedures Trainer (CPT) with limited functionality to a fully capable fixed-base Flight Training Device (FTD) with multi-channel visual displays and full hover, flight, and systems modeling.

The U.S. Army’s Choice

Frasca TH-67 simulators closely reproduce the appearance, cockpit layout, and operation of the Bell TH-67 training helicopter - itself a modified version of the popular Bell Model 206 JeRanger that forms the basis for Frasca’s Model 342. Winners of the U.S. Army’s New Training Helicopter (NTH) competition in 1993, Bell TH-67 helicopters and Frasca TH-67 CPTs are currently in use at Ft. Rucker, Alabama - training U.S. Army initial Entry Rotary Wing students as well as helicopter pilots from many of the free world’s air arms.

In its basic configuration, the TH-67 CPT can be used to teach students the fundamentals of starting up and shutting down turbine engines, as well as ground emergencies, before they ever see the actual helicopter. With the addition of a full flight model and appropriate cockpit instrumentation, a Frasca TH-67 FTD can be used to introduce non-instrument rated pilots to basic recovery techniques from inadvertent IFR entry as well as the full range of instrument flying procedures and in-flight emergencies.

Hover Training Too!

Adding a Frasca visual system to the TH-67 FTD provides an excellent platform for introducing helicopter control harmonization and the basics of hovering and transitional flight to new helicopter pilots.

Configurations for Every Pilot Training Need

In addition to the basic choices between CPT and FTD configurations, Frasca offers a wide variety of other configuration options for the TH-67. These include single and two-pilot instrumentation, single or dual flight controls, and a broad selection of operational avionics to suit any training syllabus.

Other Available Options

Frasca offers TruVision visual display systems for the TH-67 simulators. These systems provide a high-quality, affordable addition which greatly increase the training capability of the device.

Frasca’s innovative Windows -based instructor station, GISt, has rapidly set the standard for the flight simulation industry. GISt has many standard and optional features which enhance and simplify the operation of the simulator.
