R-SEE |
|
| New from Frasca International, R-SEE is a Reconfigurable Simulator for Engineering Education - designed for use in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering programs at Colleges, Universities, and Research Institutions. |
R-SEE FEATURES
Users can provide their own software for forces and equations of motion and also have direct access to simulation variables. In this manner, engineering students can design an aircraft, input their own design into the simulator, and fly "their" aircraft. R-SEE includes a specialized data collection and simulator control interface which allows an additional computer to serve as a simulator auxiliary system - providing the capability to customize the simulator to meet any unique needs for real-time simulator data input/output. For example, the auxiliary computer could be used for collection and analysis of flight data, real-time modification of aircraft parameters during flight, or as an autopilot for the simulator. This feature allows engineering students to obtain first-hand knowledge of aircraft design, performance, and control. The Frasca FVS-100HR visual system displays out-of-cockpit scenes and includes day, dusk, and night conditions as well as cloud and fog effects. This system provides a means for students to fly the simulator without reference to instruments alone - making it easier for non-pilots to use the R-SEE. Frascas reconfigurable instrument system provides the ability to simulate the instruments found on a wide range of aircraft, from general aviation single engine aircraft to twin engine commercial jet aircraft. Students can change instrument configurations through the use of simple script files, input to the simulator via diskettes. Reconfigurable instruments are available as an option on custom and standard model Frasca simulators. |
