Century Flight Academy Takes Delivery of Model 242

Century Flight Academy, Essex County Airport, Fairfield, NJ has taken delivery of a Frasca Model 242, twin engine Flight Training Device (FTD) with digital dynamic control loading, digital sound, four-channel projected FVS-200TX visual system, GISt and more. The Simulator will be used for Century's IFR & Aircraft Proficiency Training program and for initial and recurrent insurance requirements. (Dec. 30, 2003)

The United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, has officially taken delivery of eight Frasca T-6 simulators for use in cadet aviation programs. The devices which were installed over the past year, are networked together to incorporate mission simulation and allow training in certain combat situations. Features include Frasca's FVS-200TX visual system with three channel projected display and custom databases, Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI), active control loading and more. Press Release. Frasca Delivers TruFliteTM Devices to UND

The University of North Dakota has taken delivery of three Frasca TruFliteTM flight training devices at satellite campuses in Arizona, Washington and Hawaii. The TruFliteTM devices are reconfigurable between Piper Warrior and Piper Seminole aircraft and feature single channel projected TruVisionTM visual systems. The Frasca TruFliteTM product line was developed specifically to meet the requirements for JAA FNPT I and FNPT II devices in Europe and throughout the world. (Nov. 12, 2003)

Low Cost Frasca FFS Gets FAA Approval

The University of Alaska has received FAA Level B approval on their Frasca Caravan Full Flight Simulator (FFS). The FAA also gave the device additional approvals beyond normal Level B, allowing the University to perform circle to landing maneuvers. The Caravan FFS is Frasca's first FAA approved Full Flight Simulator and marks a significant development for the company. The Frasca Caravan simulator includes an electric six axis motion base and a three channel Frasca FVS200TX visual system. Press Release (Oct. 29, 2003)

Sky Blue Aviation Academy Gets Frasca FTD

Sky Blue Aviation Academy, Morristown, NJ, has taken delivery of a Frasca Model 141 FTD with FVS-200TX visual system and Graphical Instructor Station (GISt). Sky Blue offers training for the private pilot's license through commercial airline certification. (Oct. 15, 2003)

ERAUs Seminole FTDs pass FAA Qualification

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, AZ has received FAA Level 5 and 6 qualification on two of their Frasca Seminole FTDs. This is the 2nd Level 6 Seminole FTD to receive qualification. ERAU has a total of 6 Seminole FTDs in use at both the Prescott and Daytona Beach campuses. These are the only Level 5 and 6 Seminole FTDs that exist. ERAU also uses 10 Cessna 172 Level 6 FTDs and will soon take delivery of a Frasca Level 5 CRJ FTD. For more information on Embry Riddle's simulator program, click here. (Oct. 10, 2003)

Phillipine Airlines orders Frasca FTD

Phillippine Airlines has placed an order for a Frasca Model 142 twin engine FTD for use in their training center in Manila. The device will include a KLN 89B GPS, HSI, variable control loading and an FVS-200TX visual system. (Oct. 1, 2003)

Delta Connection Academy Acquires Frasca Bridge Trainer

Delta Connection Academy, Sanford, Florida has taken delivery of their Frasca Bridge Trainer (FBT). The FBT is modeled after Bombardier’s CRJ200 regional jet and is designed to provide EFIS, EICAS, autopilot and FMS training. Press release. (Sept. 17, 2003)

Level 6 172 FTD Installed at Northwestern Michigan College

Northwestern Michigan College, Traverse City, MI  has taken delivery of  their Level 6 172 FTD with 220 degree visual display system. The FTD features a new Cessna cockpit and ECL (Electric Control Loading), digital sound, King KLN 94 GPS and more. (August 29, 2003).

Frasca Launches TruFlite Product Line

Frasca International has launched a new line of flight training products, dubbed the Frasca TruFlite - designed specifically to meet the requirements for JAA devices in Europe and throughout the world. The reconfigurable device is loaded with features to enable flight training for both single and twin engine aircraft. Using Frasca's Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI), the TruFlite can be converted between a twin engine and single engine aircraft in minutes! (July 24, 2003) Press Release.

Frasca to Provide King Air B200 FTDs for SERCO RAF Contract

Frasca International has been selected to provide two King Air B200 FTDs to Serco Group plc ("Serco") as part of the prestigious RAF Cranwell Multi-Activity Contract (MAC) and Multi-Engine Pilot Training Interim Solution that has been awarded to Serco. The two Frasca King Air B200 FTDs will feature custom cockpit layout, enclosed instructors station, Frasca’s Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI), Graphical Instructor Station (GISt), and more. One of the devices will be outfitted with simulated EGPWS and Frasca’s TruVisionTM visual system with 220 degree visual display system. The second device will have a single channel projected visual display system. Both devices will feature a custom RAF Cranwell visual database. (July 10, 2003)

Roger Aviation Upgrades Visual System

Roger Aviation, Minneapolis, MN has upgraded their Model 242 FTD with Frasca's FVS-200TX, textured visual system. According to Christa Restad, General Manager, "Since we upgraded our visual system, our recurrent training pilots have told me how much they appreciate the realism of the weathered asphalt runways and green grass. Even the clouds and scenery appear more real. The increases sense of motion gives a much better training session. It's really great." (June 26, 2003)

USAFA Adds to T6 FTD Order

The United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, has ordered two additional T6 Flight Training Devices from Frasca. Five units have already been delivered to the academy. The devices will be used to support cadet aviation programs and are equipped with three-channel projected FVS-200TX visual systems, Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI), and active control loading. In addition, the devices will be networked together and will incorporate Mission Simulation to allow training in certain combat situations. (June 16, 2003)

Avia College Orders Helicopter Device

Avia College, Sandefjord, Norway has placed an order for a Model 135/R22 helicopter FTD with Frasca's FVS-200T visual system and Graphical Instructor Station (GISt). (June 9, 2003)

UND Adds Frasca Devices

The University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, has ordered three Model 142 twin engine Flight Training Devices from Frasca. The devices will utilize CGI instrumentation and will include single engine conversion kits. UND is a long time customer of Frasca with over 20 Frasca devices in use at the main campus and satellite locations. (May 19, 2003)

JCAPF Orders Level C FFS

The Japan Civil Aviation Promotion Foundation (JCAPF) has ordered a Level C King Air B200 Full Flight Simulator (FFS). The simulator will feature six-axis motion and four window collimated visual system. (May 7, 2003)

Confederation College to Get Level 6 B58 Baron FTD

Confederation College of Thunder Bay, Ontario, CN has placed an order for a Level 6 B58 Baron Flight Training Device. The FTD will include a 220 degree  visual display system with a custom database. Press Release. (April 24, 2003)

 

Finnish Aviation Academy Selects Frasca

The Finnish Aviation Academy, Pori, Finland, has selected Frasca International to supply three new Flight Navigation Procedure Trainers, FNPTs. These include two A36 Bonanzas and a King Air 300. All three devices will include Computer Generated Instruments, CGI, and 220-degree visual systems. The King Air will also include Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), and Weather Radar. The Finnish Aviation Academy (FAA) is a joint training school owned by Finnair and the Finnish government. (April 3, 2003)

MN Aviation Gets Model 142

MN Aviation, Inc., Albert Lea, MN has taken delivery of their Frasca Model 142 twin engine FTD with GISt and FVS-200TX visual system. (March 27, 2003)

Yokota Aviation orders Frasca FTD

Yokota Aviation, Plaridel, Bulacan, Phillippines has placed an order for a Frasca Model 141 with ADDS. Yokota offers basic and commercial flight training for the area.  (March 14, 2003)

Seminole FTD recently delivered to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) has received FAA Level 6 approval. This is significant considering that there are only 23 active Level 6 FTDs in existence - the majority for transport class aircraft. The ERAU device is the first Seminole FTD to receive Level 6 qualification. ERAU will ultimately operate a fleet of 4 Level 6 Seminole's and 10 Level 6 Cessna 172s when FAA qualifications are completed, making ERAU the single largest operator of Level 6 FTDs in the world. ERAU will also operate a Level 5 CRJ and a Level 5 Seminole – all manufactured by Frasca International. (January 31, 2003) ERAU press release

Broward Community College, Pembroke FL has placed an order for a a second Model 142 twin engine FTD. The first device, delivered last year, was such a success that the college ordered a second. Frasca is committed to our customer's satisfaction and takes pride in their loyalty. (Jan. 23, 2003)
General Flying Service of Cheltenham, Australia has taken delivery of their new Frasca Model 242 twin engine FTD. This will be their third Frasca FTD. We are very pleased that they continue to put their trust in our company. (Jan. 16, 2003)

Northwestern Michigan College to get Level 6 FTD
