TruFlite with G1000 under Construction

Frasca is developing a TruFlite FTD with Garmin G1000 avionics. The device will be reconfigurable between aircraft that feature the new avionics. Frasca has installed G1000 avionics on two Diamond devices to date. A DA-40 for Middle Tennessee State University and a DA-42 for Atlantic Flight Training. (December 15, 2004)

TruFlite H Gets FAA Approval

Frasca International's new reconfigurable helicopter FTD, the TruFlite H has received FAA approval for both IFR and VFR training. The first TruFlite H was delivered in only 90 days to Silver State Helicopters and is configurable for the S300, R22 and R44. Additional TruFlite H Models are available for turbine single and twin helicopters. Customers include; the University of North Dakota for a Bell 206/S300 TruFlite H and the NYPD for an Augusta A119 Koala TruFlite H. (November 18, 2005)

TruFlites in Service Worldwide

Over a dozen TruFlites are now in service at flight schools throughout the US and in Europe. Schools using Frasca's TruFlite in their curriculum include; ATP, PAIFA, UND, TVI Community College, McAir Aviation, Simulator Training Services, Airways Flight Training, Silver State Helicopters (TruFliteH) and Ohio State University. Over 20 additional TruFlites are in production and will be shipped to customers soon. (October 28, 2004)

Indonesian Navy Takes Delivery of TB-10 FTD

The Indonesian Navy has taken delivery of their TB-10 FTD with TruVision 220, enclosed instructors cab and Socata interior. (October 18, 2004)

Indiana State University Takes Delivery of Frasca Sims

Indiana State University, has taken delivery of two Frasca devices, a KingAir B200 Flight Training Device and a Model 141 wide. (October 7, 2004)

Seneca College Adds Frasca Devices

Seneca College, Toronto, Canada, has placed an order for two Frasca devices, a CRJ and a Cessna 172 FTD. Both devices will feature TruVision 220 with custom visual database. The devices will be used in the School of Aviation and Flight Technology. (September 29, 2004)

Ohio State University Chooses TruFlite

Ohio State University has placed an order for a TruFlite with TruVision 170.  (September 20, 2004)

Singapore Flying College Orders Another Frasca

Singapore Flying College, Perth, Australia has placed an order for a Frasca Model 242, Flight Training Device. This twin/single device will feature Frasca's TruVision 170 visual system. The college also uses a Frasca Model 142 in their flight training program. (August 17, 2004)

NYPD to Get Frasca Helicopter FTD

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has ordered a Frasca Model 342/TruFlite H Helicopter FTD in the Augusta 119 Koala configuration. The device will feature Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI) and TruVision with a three channel display system. (August 2, 2004)

CRJ for Arizona State University

Arizona State University, Mesa has placed an order for a Frasca CRJ (Regional Jet) FTD, and a Model 142, twin engine FTD. The CRJ will include TruVision 220, EFIS, EICAS, FMS System and more. (July 22, 2004)

 

Indiana State University Chooses Frasca

Indiana State University, Terre Haute, has placed an order for a Frasca KingAir B200 FTD and a Model 141 FTD. The B200 will be equipped with EFIS and TruVision 170. The Model 141 will feature a singe channel visual system and Garmin 430 GPS. (July 15, 2004)

TruFlite Sales Update. TruFlite Takes Off!

Arr-ow Aviation, Chicago, IL has placed an order for a Frasca TruFlite FTD. The reconfigurable device converts between a single and twin and will include Frasca's TruVision 170 visual system, dual GPS and more. (June 29, 2004)

Atlantic Flight Training, Coventry, England, has placed an order for a DA42 TruFlite FNPT II. The device will be equipped with a Garmin G1000 system and TruVision 170. (June 29, 2004)

Ohio State University, Columbus, has ordered a new Frasca TruFliteTM   single engine FTD with Cessna 172 kit, Garmin 430 and TruVisionTM   170. (June 29, 2004)

Silver State Helicopters Order 10 Frasca TruFlite H FTDs

Silver State Helicopters, headquartered in Henderson, NV has placed an order for ten New TruFlite HTM Helicopter FTDs which will be used for flight training at their various locations throughout CA, NV, AZ and UT. The TruFlite HTM utilizes Frasca’s recently developed TruFliteTM technology, making it reconfigurable between three single engine piston helicopter models; the Robinson R22, Robinson R44 and Schweizer 300. The devices will feature a two seat cockpit, interchangeable cyclics (Robinson T-bar and conventional style), Frasca’s digital sound system, and TruVisionTM single channel projected visual system. press release (June 22, 2004)

Galvin Flying Service Takes Delivery of 142

Galvin Flying Service, Boeing Field, Seattle, WA has taken delivery of a Model 142 with Cessna 172, Bonanza and Seminole flight models. The device also features a wide cockpit, Garmin 430 and KLN 94 GPS to allow for training in three different aircraft types and TruVision with direct view display system.  (June 14, 2004)

Purdue University Upgrades Frasca Devices

Purdue University will be upgrading their Frasca 141 and 242 FTDs with new Garmin avionics. These devices will get GMA 340, GNS 430, RCR-650 ADF Reciever and GTX 327 Transponder. The 242 will also be upgraded with a Piper Seminole performance model in addition to the existing Baron flight model. These upgrades will allow for training consistent with the newer aircraft cockpits. Purdue currently uses 5 Frasca FTDs in their training program.  (June 14, 2004)

Middle Tennessee State University Orders Frasca Diamond FTD

Middle Tennessee State University of Murfreesboro, TN has placed an order for a new Frasca Diamond FTD. The device will be based on the Diamond DA 40 aircraft and will feature the new Garmin 1000 avionics package and  TruVision 220 with custom visual database. This is the first FTD to feature the G1000 avionics package. Airways Flight Training Chooses TruFlite

Airways Flight Training Ltd, Exeter, England has placed an order for a Frasca TruFlite FNPT II configured as a B76 Duchess convertible to a Piper Arrow. The device will include Frasca's TruVision visual display system. (May 17, 2004)

Congratulations SAFECON Winners!

Pan Am International Flight Academy Gets Frasca Device

Pan Am International Flight Academy, Fort Pierce, FL, has taken delivery of a Frasca King Air B200 FTD. They have also placed order for four TruFlites and a Model 142 Wide which will be located at different PAIFA locations.  (April 15, 2004)

TruFlite Takes Off!

Sales of Frasca International’s newest Flight Simulation device, the "TruFliteTM" have taken off! Introduced less than a year ago, the TruFlite, a reconfigurable flight training device using Frasca’s latest Computer Generated Instrumentation, has been a big success with flight schools worldwide. TruFlite devices have been ordered by: Airline Transport Professionals, Inc. Helicopter Sim Gets FAA Level 3 Certification

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given Level 3 cerfication to a Frasca Bell 412 Helicopter Flight Training Device (FTD) owned by Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. (PHI) of Lafayette, LA., making it the first FAA Level 3 helicopter FTD in the world. Level 3 certification allows for training and check credits for all items under Practical Test Standards (PTS) in addition to special procedures such as OSAP and GPS approaches. PHI also operates FTDs for the Bell 206 and Bell 407. (March 9, 2004)

Finnish Aviation Academy Takes Delivery of Bonanza FNPT II Devices

The Finnish Aviation Academy, Pori, Finland, has taken delivery of two Frasca A36 Bonanza devices which have received JAA FNPT approval. The Bonanza devices include Computer Generated Instruments, CGI, and 220-degree visual systems. A third device, a King Air FNPT II MCC device will be delivered later this year and will also include Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), and Weather Radar. Another Frasca for UND!

The University of North Dakota, Grand Forks,  has placed an order for a 4th Frasca Seminole FTD. They currently have 3 Seminoles, 4 Warriors, 3 TruFlite  in addition to other Frasca devices in use at their main campus and various satellite locations. The Seminole devices feature a Garmin Avionics package with dual Garmin 430 GPS and FVS-200TX visual system with 3-channel projected display. (February 19, 2004)

McAir Aviation, Broomfield, CO has placed an order for a Model 141/142 TruFlite reconfigurable flight training device. (February 17, 2004)

TVI to use Frasca TruFlite in New Flight Instruction Program.

TVI Community College, Albuquerque, NM, has placed an order for a Frasca TruFlite device with KLN 94 GPS. The device will be used by the Albuquerque Technical Vocation Institute as they launch a new professional pilot and flight instruction program this month. The initial program will earn graduating students a commercial pilot's license and qualify them as flight instructors. TruFlite is Frasca's newest reconfigurable flight training device. Hillsboro Aviation Gets New Frasca

Hillsboro Aviation, Hillsboro, OR has take delivery of their Frasca Model 142 Flight Training Device with FVS-200TX visual system with single channel projected visual system and Graphical Instructor Station (GISt). The device will be used in their pilot training program. (January 14, 2004)

Century Flight Academy Takes Delivery of Model 242

Century Flight Academy, Essex County Airport, Fairfield, NJ has taken delivery of a Frasca Model 242, twin engine Flight Training Device (FTD) with digital dynamic control loading, digital sound, four-channel projected FVS-200TX visual system, GISt and more. The Simulator will be used for Century's IFR & Aircraft Proficiency Training program and for initial and recurrent insurance requirements. (December 30, 2003)

 USAFA Celebrates Delivery of T-6 FTDs

The United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, has officially taken delivery of eight Frasca T-6 simulators for use in cadet aviation programs. The devices which were installed over the past year, are networked together to incorporate mission simulation and allow training in certain combat situations. Features include Frasca's FVS-200TX visual system with three channel projected display and custom databases, Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI), active control loading and more. Press Release.
