TruFlite for Fox Valley Technical College

Fox Valley Technical College , Oshkosh, Wisconson has placed an order for a Frasca TruFlite with TruVision 170. The device which will be delivered in early 2006 will be configured as a Beech Duchess. The Aeronautics-Pilot Training program at Fox Valley is a two-year associate degree program  with the primary goal of preparing the graduate to compete successfully for entry level occupations as a pilot or flight instructor. Northwest Aviation Selects Frasca DA-40 FTD

Northwest Aviation, Schaumburg, IL, will soon be using a Frasca DA-40 Flight Training Device with TruVision 170 in their flight training program. The DA-40 FTD will also features Garmin G1000 avionics. (October 27, 2005).

Cirrus SR22 FTD on Order

Glass Cockpit Aviation, Farmingdale, NY has placed an order for a Cirrus SR22 Flight Training Device (FTD). The FTD will feature Avidyne FlightMax Entegra, Dual Garmin GPS, TruVision 170 with custom visual database and more. This will be the first Cirrus FTD built by Frasca. (October 21, 2005)

FAA Approves G1000 Training Program

Vectair USA has received FAA approval for their Garmin G1000 "glass panel" training program which uses a Frasca Mentor ATD. The program is based on F.I.T.S. (FAA Industry Training Standards) guidelines and is a scenario based program requiring students to manage various resources and make decisions while flying the highly advanced "glass" cockpits of today's aircraft.  (October 7, 2005).

Fox Valley Technical College, Oshkosh, WI has placed an order for a Frasca TruFlite with TruVision 170 The device will be configured as a Beech Duchess. The TruFlite product line has become very popular due to it's reconfigurable capabilities. (Sept 30, 2005).

Atlantic Flight Training Orders Second DA-42 FNPT II

Atlantic Flight Training, Coventry, England, has placed an order for a second Frasca DA-42 FNPT II. The unit was delivered earlier this year and was the worlds first CAA approved DA-42 STD and also the first CAA approved device featuring Garmin G1000. The second unit will also include G1000 and TruVision 170. (Sept 20, 2005).

Upgrades Prove Popular for Frasca Equipment

many customers have recently upgraded their Frasca equipment to enhance their training programs. These include; Aviation Training Center in Seattle, who added a single channel projected visual system, Garmin 420 and SAP 75 to their Model 142, and Metro State University in Denver and Purdue University, both upgrading two Model 141's with GISt, digital sound, new avionics and 6 DOF flight modeling. Mentor Sales Continue

Vectair, operating out of Tunica Airport, MS has taken delivery of a Frasca Mentor with Garmin, G1000.  Vectair offers charters, service and management and will use their Mentor for training pilots to fly integrated avionics such as the G1000. The Mentor will be on display at AOPA Expo November 3-5. Show details. (Sept 1 2005)

Frasca Sims a Hit at Oshkosh!

The New Frasca Mentor and a Frasca Diamond DA-40 FTD caught the attention of the crowd at the Frasca booth during Oshkosh this year (July 24-31). Hundred of pilots test flew the two devices during the show and reviews were very favorable. If you missed Oshkosh, Frasca will have a Mentor on display at AOPA this year. Mentor Flies High at Oshkosh

The New Frasca Mentor (on display this week at Airventure, Oshkosh) has begun to catch the attention of flight schools worldwide. Since it's debut earlier this year, Frasca has sold Mentor devices to flight schools including Vectair (Tunica, MS), Utah State College (Orem) and avionics manufacturers Avidyne and Garmin. The Mentor is available with standard avionics or with Garmin G1000 or Avidyne Entegra. (July 28, 2005)

TruFlite H for Hover Dynamics

Hover Dynamics, Midrand, South Africa, has placed an order for a TruFliteH reconfigurable helicopter device. The device will be configurable between the Robinson R22 and R44 and will feature Frasca's TruVision 170 visual display system.  Hover Dynamics has grown to become the 3rd largest operator of helicopters in South Africa. Based at Grand Central Airport, Helicopter Training Services commenced operations in 1988 as a helicopter pilot training school. Utah Valley State College Selects Frasca

Utah Valley State College, Orem, has selected Frasca to provide three flight training devices (FTDs) for their aviation program. The devices include a Diamond DA-42 FTD with Garmin G1000 and TruVision 220, a Mentor with G1000 and a Model 142 wide with Garmin 430 GPS. (July 5, 2005)

TruFlites for FlightSafety

FlightSafety Academy, Vero Beach, FL has placed an order for three TruFlite FTDs in the Piper Seminole configuration. The devices will include copilot flight controls, TruFeel control loading, full Garmin avionics suite, TruVision with single channel projected display and will be JAR-STD 3A FNPT II qualified. FlightSafety is a longtime customer of Frasca simulators.  (June 23, 2005)

CTC Aviation Group has recently taken delivery of two Frasca TruFlites, one configured as a Beechcraft Duchess (at their UK location) and a second as a Seminole (in use at their NZ location). The Frasca TruFlite devices will be used for multi-engine class rating and IFR training for the cadet program. (June 16, 2005)

 

New Visual Databases Delivered to Bell

The Bell Helicopter Customer Training Academy, Fort Worth, TX has recently upgraded their Frasca Bell 206 Helicopter FTD with a new visual database featuring the latest in visual system technology from Frasca. The upgrade will allow for NVG (night vision goggle) training in addition to enhanced visuals for all training applications. Bell also uses a Frasca 407 FTD at their facility. Arizona State University Gets CRJ FTD

Arizona State University (ASU), Mesa, Arizona has taken delivery of a Frasca Level 5 CRJ, regional jet Flight Training Device (FTD). The device features avionics typical of a CRJ 200, EFIS, Collins Proline IV, IECAS 2000 (engine indication and crew alerting system), FMS 4200 Flight Management System, TruVision with 220 degree visual display system and more. The CRJ FTD will be used by both ASU and Mesa Airlines. ASU also uses a Frasca Model 142. In addition to the ASU CRJ FTD, Frasca has delivered regjonal jet devices to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University , Delta Connection Academy and Seneca College. (May 2, 2005)  

TruFliteTM Orders from Spain, Turkey

Frasca International has received orders for a TruFliteTM Baron/Bonanza FNPT II from Adventia, a flight school in Salamanca, Spain and for a  TruFliteTM  Cessna 172 FNPT II for Sindel Aviation in Ankara, Turkey. Over 30 TruFlite reconfigurable devices have been delivered to customers worldwide since it's debut last year. (April 18, 2005)

Frasca Launches MentorTM

Frasca International has developed a new simulator for flight training dubbed the “MentorTM”. The Frasca MentorTM is a simulator capable of training pilots to fly integrated avionics systems such as the new Garmin G1000 as well as conventional instrumentation without investing in more advanced FTDs. While compact in size, the MentorTM is a high quality simulator with an extensive features list and uses much of the same technology as Frasca’s higher level FTDs and FFSs. Complete press release. Frasca KingAir FFS Gets Level C Approval from JCAB

The Japanese Civil Aviation Promotion Foundation (JCAPF) has received Level C approval from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) for their King Air B200 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) from Frasca International, Inc. The KingAir FFS is the first Level C FFS built by Frasca International. It is also the only FFS in use by a non-airline flight training company in Japan . The FFS was delivered on schedule and within budget.   Frasca has delivered several KingAir FTDs and has also recently delivered a Level B Caravan FFS to the University of Alaska . (March 17, 2005)

MTSU Takes Delivery of DA-40 FTD

Middle Tennessee State University , Murfreesboro, has taken delivery of their Frasca DA-40 FTD. The one of a kind device features Garmin G1000 avionics, GISt, Frasca TruVision with custom visual database and more. Frasca is the first simulator manufacturer to integrate G1000 avionics. A DA-42 FNPT II STD was delivered to Atlantic Flight Training, Coventry, England last month. (March 7, 2005)

Delta State University Orders 3 TruFlites

Delta State University, Cleveland, MS, has placed an order for 3 Frasca TruFlite FTDs. Two of the TruFlite's will include 172R and Duchess flight models, King KX 155A avionics package with KLN 94 GPS and TruVision. The third unit will also include a 172RG flight model and TruVision 170. (February 9, 2005)

First DA-42 FNPT II STD Receives CAA Approval

Atlantic Flight Training, Covently, England has received CAA approval for their Frasca DA-42 FNPT II STD. This is the worlds first CAA approved DA-42 STD and also the first CAA approved device featuring Garmin G1000.   The approval was completed in a very timely manner and underscores Frasca's expertise in building devices to customer's required qualification standards. CTC Orders Frasca TruFlites

CTC Aviation Training, with locations in Southampton, England and Hamilton Airport, New Zealand, has ordered two Frasca TruFlites, one for each location.  The Southampton TruFlite will be configured as a Beechcraft Duchess, while the Hamilton unit will be configured as a Piper Seminole.  Both units will be FNPT II approved with single channel projected visual systems. DA-42 FNPT II Delivered to Atlantic Flight Training

Atlantic Flight Training, Coventry, England will be the recipient of the first DA-42 Simulator built for the all new Diamond DA-42 aircraft. The device features Garmin G1000 and Frasca's TruVision 170. Frasca is also building a DA-40 FTD for Middle Tennessee State University. These devices are the first simulators to feature Garmin's G1000 avionics and the first Diamond DA-40 and DA-42 devices built. (January 19, 2005)

Finnish Aviation Academy Simulators Get JAA Approval

The Finnish Aviation Academy, Pori, Finland, has received FNPT II approval for their two Frasca A36 Bonanza devices and STD 2A and FNPT II MCC approval on their KingAir device. The Bonanza devices include Computer Generated Instruments, CGI, and 220-degree visual systems. The King Air also includes Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), and Weather Radar. (January 3, 2005)
