Frasca International has launched a new line of flight
training products, dubbed the Frasca TruFliteTM. The Frasca TruFliteTM
product line was developed specifically to meet the requirements for JAA FNPT I
and FNPT II devices in Europe and throughout the world. The reconfigurable
device is loaded with features to enable flight training for both single and
twin engine aircraft. Using Frasca’s Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI)
and realistic overlays with bezels, screws, glass and knobs, the Frasca TruFliteTM
device can be converted between a twin engine general aviation aircraft and a
single engine aircraft in minutes.
The Frasca TruFliteTM comes standard with a single
set of flight controls with an option for dual controls, multi to single engine
conversion kit, Graphical Instructor Station (GISt), a new lower profile shell
and much more. Customers can choose several options to customize their Frasca
TruFliteTM. These include; Garmin 430 GPS, Digital audio and sound,
Frasca’s TruVisionTM textured visual system with 170 or 220 degree
wrap around display, custom visual databases, and their choice of aircraft
flight models.
The new device was given the name "TruFliteTM"
as a testimonial to Frasca’s 45 years of simulation experience coupled with
the company’s commitment to developing high fidelity products. One of Frasca’s
earliest devices was originally called "TruFlite" forty years ago
after a customer declared "it really does fly just like the airplane… you
should call it the TruFlite"! Frasca resurrected the name but the
technology is all new. According to John Frasca, Vice President of Frasca
International, "The Frasca TruFliteTM devices incorporate our
newest technologies developed for Level 6 FTDs and Full Flight Simulators. This
technology has been repackaged to be cost effective for more mass produced
products – offering our customers high fidelity at an affordable price."
In the words of Frasca’s president, Rudy Frasca, "The Frasca TruFliteTM
is the right simulator at the right time."
A Frasca TruFliteTM will be available to test fly
in the UK and at the Frasca facility in Urbana, IL USA. Interested parties may
arrange for a demonstration by calling the sales department at Frasca
International at: (217) 344-9200.
Frasca has also chosen TruVisionTM as the family
name for its line of visual systems. Frasca TruVisionTM systems are
available in single and multi-channel configurations providing up to a
220-degree field of view. Other products include; "TruSoundTM",
Frasca’s digital sound system, "TruFeelTM" Frasca’s
Control Loading Systems and "TruScoreTM" Frasca’s virtual
scoring module available with GISt, Frasca’s Graphical Instructor Station.
Frasca TruScoreTM can be used for pilot selection and scoring. As the
names imply, these devices and sub-systems offer incredibly realistic sound,
feel and vision in the flight training experience.
