Caravan FFS Installed at University of Alaska

The University of Alaska, Anchorage, has taken delivery of their FAA Level B Caravan Full Flight Simulator (FFS) built by Frasca International, Inc. The FFS features a 6-axis electric motion system, 3-channel, 4-window collimated FVS-200TX visual system, electric control loading, digital sound, full systems simulation, precise cockpit representation, fully enclosed instructors cab, Frasca’s Graphical Instructors station (GISt) and more. The University will use the device in their upper level flight training curriculum and also for training local Caravan aircraft operators. A large number of Caravan aircraft are based in Alaska and the Caravan FFS will allow for simulator training without the pilots having to travel to a third party flight training facility – saving time and money. The Frasca Caravan is a very affordabe Full Flight Simulator, priced at a fraction of what a FFS normally costs.
