Frasca to Provide King Air B200 FTDs for SERCO RAF Contract

Frasca International, Inc, Urbana, IL has been selected to provide two King Air B200 FTDs to Serco Group plc ("Serco") as part of the prestigious RAF Cranwell Multi-Activity Contract (MAC) and Multi-Engine Pilot Training Interim Solution that has been awarded to Serco. The contract will feature the introduction of the King Air 200 to the Royal Air Force (RAF) for pilot training. The flight training aspects of the contract include some 5,500 hours per year on the King Air B200 aircraft and 3,000 simulator hours per year on the Frasca FTDs.

The two Frasca King Air B200 FTDs will feature custom cockpit layout, enclosed instructors station, Frasca’s Computer Generated Instrumentation (CGI), and Graphical Instructor Station (GISt). Other features include simulated EGPWS and Frasca’s TruVisionTM visual system with 220 degree visual display system. Both devices will feature a custom RAF Cranwell visual database.

Frasca International has built and delivered several King Air FTDs including B200s for EPAG and Lund University and a C90 for CAE/SimuFlite and has recently received an order for a King Air B200 Level C Full Flight Simulator for the Japanese Civil Aviation Promotion Foundation (JCAPF).
