Frasca builds a complete range of training devices for military use. These devices are designed to provide high fidelity simulation to meet the qualification standards required by each customer.
Military customers include the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force Academy, the Defense Helicopter Flying School (DHFS), the Colombian National Police, the Mexican Navy, the Indonesian Army and more. Aircraft specific cockpits, high resolution visual systems, Electric Control Loading, Digital Sound, Motion Systems, EFIS, FMS, instructor stations and a wide array of options make Frasca a wise choice for military organizations.
Frasca simulators and training devices utilize the latest technology to provide reliable and realistic simulation of the aircraft.

- EFIS - both simulated and stimulated EFIS systems are available. Simulated systems utilize PC technology and commercial displays. Stimulated EFIS systems use actual aircraft hardware driven by Frasca's computer and interface systems.
- Frasca Debriefing Station (FDS): Used with Frasca FTDs to provide
post-flight debriefing.
- Frasca's Modular Interface System places much of the interface in the cockpit instead of in centralized cabinets. This significantly reduces the number of connectors, wire harness sizes, and chassis sizes resulting in few assembly errors, shortened integration times and higher reliability.
- Digital Sound Simulation enhances the reality of Frasca's devices, simulating aircraft sounds and pilot
- GISt - Frasca's Graphical Instructor Station is an easy to use, powerful instructional control tool that provides the instructor with complete control of the simulation environment. GISt provides conventional control of simulator functions such as environmental conditions and failures, while also allowing the instructor to monitor simulator operation and pilot performance through graphical mapping displays. Further, GISt provides automated control of the simulator session through the use of lesson plans. Lesson plans automatically control the simulator by triggering events based on conditions such as time, altitude, etc. communications. Sounds can be generated by synthesis or digital playback.
- Electric Control Loading
(ECL) is an advanced design that accurately simulates the forces acting on the helicopter's controls in both static and dynamic conditions, providing realistic levels of resistance and inertia to the cyclic, collective and antitorque pedals throughout the entire range of the helicopter flight envelope.
- Motion Systems - 6 axis motion systems provide realistic motion cues on Frasca's Full Flight Simulators and are also available with some FTDs.
- TruVision textured visual system provides realistic
out-the-window scenes that can be customized for specific airports and geographic regions. Visual systems are available in single or multiple channel configurations with CRT, projection or collimated display systems.
- Computers-All Frasca simulators utilize PC technology ensuring high reliability and availability of spares. Several computers, each performing separate tasks, are integrated together in each simulator to provide superior processing power and speed.
- Cockpits-Frasca simulators use cockpits that duplicate the aircraft flight deck. These cockpits can be built utilizing aircraft parts and data or can be based on remanufactured salvaged aircraft cockpits and parts.
- Qualification-Frasca Flight Training Devices and Full Flight Simulators can be qualified or certified at all relevant FAA and JAA levels. Appropriate documentation and auto test systems are available.
- GISt - Frasca's Graphical Instructor Station is an easy to use, powerful Instructor's tool that provides the instructor with complete control of the simulation environment. It also allows the instructor to monitor the simulator and pilot's performance through graphical mapping programs. Lesson plans automatically control the simulator by triggering events based on conditions such as time, altitude
etc.
