Consists of hardware and software which when installed onto the Chassis and in the computer enables the RTD to appear and function as a Piper Seminole equipped with conventional analog instrumentation.
Hardware includes overlay panel for Piper Seminole flight instruments and engine gauges, overlay panel for avionics, Seminole-style throttle quadrant, and switch panel.
The “Enhanced” version includes a Center Console which houses a flaps lever, fuel selector switches, elevator trim wheel, rudder trim wheel and cowl flap levers (in the non-Enhanced version these items are simplified and installed on the throttle quadrant).
Software includes Frasca’s high-fidelity Piper Seminole aerodynamics and aircraft systems modeling, as well as avionics databases that are easily updated by the customer.
Simulated avionics include Audio Panel/Marker Beacon, dual Garmin GNS-430W NAV/COM/GPSs with dual VOR/LOC/GS indicators, KR-87 ADF with indicator, GTX-327 transponder, and KAP-140 Autopilot.
