The longstanding partnership between Frasca, a FlightSafety International company, and ATP Flight Schools spanning 20 years stands as a testament to Frasca’s ability to forge long-term relationships, provide exceptional products, and deliver unparalleled customer service.
ATP pioneered accelerated airline pilot training in 1984 and, since then, has continued investing in new technology to lead industry performance and provide efficient training that develops professional airline pilots. Before their most recent simulator purchase, ATP was operating 450 aircraft and 130 simulators across 70 locations, including an existing fleet of Level 5 and 6 flight training devices. With the acquisition of 20 additional simulators from Frasca, ATP expands its fleet of simulators demonstrating the next evolution in their mission to provide cutting-edge training tools to support the next generation of airline pilots.
ATP’s order for 20 Advanced Aircraft Training Devices (AATDs) in the latter part of 2021 marked a significant milestone in the Frasca-ATP partnership. Each device features an accurate physical representation of either a Piper Archer or Cessna Skyhawk flight deck, with 220° wrap-around visuals surrounding the student. Inside, actual Garmin G1000 avionics mirror the identically equipped Archers and Skyhawks in ATP’s fleet. Active control loading is paired with modeled flight data to replicate the aerodynamics and control feedback of the actual aircraft. This industry-leading fidelity and realism allow for a more impactful transfer of learning and skill from the simulator to the airplane, increasing the effectiveness of training.
The delivery process commenced in early 2022, with Frasca striving to fulfill all orders within the same year. By the end of 2022, all 20 flight simulators were successfully built and ready for ATP’s flight training facilities. This timely completion showcased Frasca’s commitment to meeting customer expectations and maintaining a seamless experience throughout the entire order process.
As both companies continue to pioneer advancements in aviation training, their partnership promises a future filled with innovation, growth, and shared success.
