FRASCA’s NVG simulators utilize actual Night Vision Goggles. There are no attachments, simulated goggles, or other non-realistic methods – just wear the standard NVIS flight equipment and begin training. The view through the goggles, the unaided view of the instrument panel, and the out the window view are all accurate.
Our certified system uses projected images that incorporate the infrared-light spectrum. This allows dim objects that are invisible to the naked eye to be visible through the goggles. Typical simulation projectors only project the visible light spectrum. This limits the goggles to only show objects that are also visible to the naked eye. The FRASCA solution is much more realistic including objects that are only visible through the goggles. It doesn’t get any more real than this!
