Life Flight Network Selects FRASCA for Bell 407GXi Simulator
Frasca International, Inc, has received an order for a Bell 407 GXi AATD (Advanced Aviation Training Device) from Life Flight Network, LLC a HEMS provider based in Aurora, Oregon. Once installed, the Frasca AATD will be used for initial/new hire training, recurrent training, and mission training.

Helicopter Institute Adds FRASCA HTD
The Helicopter Institute, Fort Worth, TX has placed an order for a Frasca Bell 407 Helicopter Training Device (HTD). The HTD is an FAA qualified AATD and features Garmin G500H display, Simulated HeliSAS, Garmin GTN650 GPS,Frasca’s TruVision™ visual system with three channel HDTV visual display system and a Newport, OR Helicopter mission training visual database. American Flyers & Frasca: Pioneering civilian simulator training
American Flyers and Frasca share a long history in civilian simulator training that continues to grow even today.
It all started in 1939, when Reed Pigman founded charter airline and flight training facility American Flyers in Ft. Worth, Texas. American Flyers provided primary flight training to civilian and military pilots, having been chosen as one of the few civilian flight schools to train pilots for the U.S. Army and Navy. The airline was sold in the 1970s while the flight school continued to grow. (more…)

From a customer service portal and forum to useful articles, service bulletins, and “how-tos”, Frasca’s support center keeps the answers you need at your fingertips.

While not required to access very basic support information or subscribe to email updates on new articles, we recommend logging in or creating an account to personalize your experience. How to Choose the Right Simulator‐Based Training System
There are two main factors to consider when selecting a flight simulator. The first should always be how accurately the flight simulator emulates the actual aircraft your student flies.
The “Law of Primacy’ dictates that the information and skills a student learns first creates the strongest impressions, making them difficult to change in the future. When learning something for the first time, our brains process on a higher level, which results in more effectively stored information in long‐term memory. It has been proven that in emergency situations, we revert back to how we first learned to execute a task. (more…)
Simulator Training Hits Its Stride
For many years, the helicopter industry has seen simulator training as something the big operations do. Yes, the top-of-the-line Level D simulators do provide a great training environment. But it also costs a great deal to rent these devices, if one is even available for your aircraft.

Frasca RTDs Receive CASA Approval in Australia
September 16, 2019 Urbana, IL.
Frasca International, Inc. has received Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval on their RTD™ (Reconfigurable Training Device) as a category B synthetic trainer. Three FRASCA RTDs have been delivered to CAE for use at CAE Melbourne and CAE Tamworth training facilities in Australia. The three RTDs are reconfigurable between the Cessna 172 and Piper Seminole, all with G1000 NXi Avionics and feature a three-channel visual system.

American Flyers – Training Pilots for 80 Years
Adding on to their distinct training program is the use of simulators for flight training. American Flyers has been a leader in aviation advancement in the entirety of its 80 years, and was the first flight school to use simulators in training. In fact, they worked with Frasca International to help build the first simulator, making them a key player in flight simulation.
